Welcome to Putney Methodist Church!

Welcome to the website of Putney Methodist Church. We are a friendly Christian community based in south west London, seeking to serve God and our neighbours. We meet for worship every Sunday at 10:30 am with activities throughout the week. For details of forthcoming services, see here. You can also find us on Facebook.

Christmas is coming!

We hope that you are as excited as we are about the festive season. Please join us at one of our services in the coming days as we celebrate the coming of Jesus into the world, fulfilling the promise of Emmanuel, 'God with us'.

• Sunday, 22 December (6.30 pm) - Carol Service, with the PMC Singers and the Putney & Wimbledon Brass Band, followed by mince pies and refreshments
• Christmas Eve (4:00 pm) - Children's Crib service. A short service aimed at young families to help them prepare for the wonder of Christmas.
• Christmas Eve (11:30 pm) - Midnight Communion, led by Rev'd Geoffrey Farrar
• Christmas Day (10:30 am) - Family Worship led by Jessica Dalton

Anyone is welcome at any of these services. 

Please note that there will be no service at Putney Methodist on Sunday, 29 December but please join us at Barnes Methodist Church for a special united service, led by Deacon Kathy Johnson.

Messy Church

We are delighted to be able to offer Junior Church most Sunday mornings now. We also hold a monthly Messy Church on Sunday afternoons at the church especially aimed at families and children. It is a wonderfully relaxed space to explore stories from the Bible in a friendly and creative way. For dates and more details, please see here.

Christian Meditation

A regular Christian Meditation group meets every Tuesday night at 7:30 pm. These sessions are open to anyone and, especially in these challenging times, provide an opportunity to reflect and find a calm centre.

Weekly activities

We meet each week for worship on Sundays at 10:30 am. We also gather for a weekly prayer time on Wednesdays at 10:00 am, followed by a coffee morning until about 12:00 noon.
