Meditation in Wandsworth Prison
The Church Times recently published an article about Geoff Waterhouse and his work teaching meditation at Wandsworth Prison. Copies are on the notice board and available on the stewards' table.

Patricia Lines
Patricia's partner Peter made some progress during his fortnight at the Royal Bucks Hospital and plans to return there for 8-12 weeks for further intensive physio. Patricia will be able to move back to London for this period. They feel very isolated, and would welcome emails from friends-gedackt@hotmail.co.uk.

Some of you will remember Christine and Brian Nixon, who worshipped here for many years. We are very sorry to say that Brian has recently had to move into full-time residential care and is now living in Priory Court, Old School Lane, Ewell Village KT17 1TJ. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

Medtner Festival
We have been asked to mention the 2nd International Medtner Festival, for the life and works of the Russian composer Nicolai Medtner (1880-1951), well-known in the 1930s and 1940s.
Details can be found on www.medtnerfest.co.uk

We are updating the name labels and list of contact details for regular members of the congregation. If you cannot find your name label, or if you are not sure whether we have your contact details, please contact Jenny Drewe (drewejennifer@gmail.com; 020 8785 6911).

Volunteers are always needed!
There are many jobs which need to be done before, during, and after the services; and when we have plenty of volunteers, we can spread the load. If you would like to know more, and perhaps join the volunteers, there are yellow forms on the stewards' table.

If you would like to do a reading on Sunday mornings, please sign up (for specific services) on the list beside the kitchen door.

Text Messaging
Click here to fill in form & I will send you a text message to remind you of an event in church.

If after Church you wait a while Someone may greet you with a smile; But if you quietly rise and flee We'll all seem cold and stiff, maybe. The one beside you in the pew Is, perhaps, a stranger too. All here - like you - have tears and cares; All of us need each other's prayers. In fellowship we bid you meet With us, around God's mercy seat.

Lapel Name Badges
The lapel badges are on racks in the foyer; please find your own and attach it to your clothing as you enter and return it as you leave.

Is you flag flying high?
You will notice some flags displayed above the doorway to the worship area. We intend that this ongoing flag project will grow and reflect the diversity of people who worship and visit Putney Methodist Church.
If your flag is not there, please let the welcome steward (at the table) know and you will be able to pick out your flag from our collection to add to the display. The flags serve as a welcome to other countrymen and women and state that someone from their country has worshipped ,or still worships, at Putney Methodist Church.

There is a Prayer Request Book at the back of the Church. Please do write your prayer requests in it and take time to read the requests from others.

A parent-child room is provided at the back of the church (nearest to the kitchen). Toys, colouring pens, paper and books are available. The service is relayed through, so parents with young children can join in worship while supervising their children in a more child-focussed setting.
